The waters are settling and we can help you prepare and adapt for future opportunities
New times, new challenges and new opportunities
The Swedish Cruise Network was founded in 2021, in the aftermath of the Corona crises by a group of former employees with key positions from the cruise industry. The Corona crises disrupted the entire world and the cruise industry was impacted severely. We have discussed and reflected upon in what direction the industry is going, and what can be done differently going forward—”how can ports and cities profit and position themselves better?” and “how can we optimize the logistical and user experience aspect of the intersection between ship, port and city?”
We want to offer a local Swedish network that can help posts and cities to get a better foothold and manage all aspects of the cruise operations. We believe that there are a lot of opportunities in the near future for those who are prepared, and we want to help you.
Many great plans have fallen when exposed to the banalities of real a real-world setting. We know the business and we have worked, firsthand, with all of the practical aspects of the operation, and this is what sets us apart from the competition—it is like anything else in life, you need to spend time and practice your skill before you can learn others to do it better. This is true in sports, academics, music—and especially in business and logistics. We found that there are a lot of other actors dealing with similar conceptual issues, but few of them have the practical experience that we have.
What now? How to adapt to the new normal?
We are in unsteady times, and it can be difficult to navigate the waters of the recovering post-COVID-19 world. Let us help you adapt to these new times, or enter a new business area! To make adequate changes, you need to have an intimate understanding of how the business was conducted before the crises. We know how things were done, and we have spend a considerable amount of time analysing and contemplating what needs to change. The circumstances are different, but we believe this change will usher in a new era of opportunity for the organisations that have the willingness to embrace the new normal.
One of the biggest concerns for the cruise industry is how to operate in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis. Nothing is the same as before, and we need to adapt to the new conditions. There are a lot of obstacles, and challenges that need to be taken into consideration, but like in any other time of crises—this is also a time of opportunity. Old equilibriums have been disrupted and we now face a different reality than we did before COVID-19.
